How do I deposit?

Depositing funds into your trading account is fast and straightforward.

There are various methods with which you can fund your account, simply choose whichever method you prefer.

In order to start trading you need to first create a trading account. Please follow these steps:

  • Register to open an account — click here
  • Login to the trading platform
  • Click on the “Account Balance” button appearing on the bottom left hand side
  • Click on “Deposit”
  • Select your preferred deposit method

How will the charges appear on my Credit Card statement?

Your Credit Card charges will be posted on your Credit Card statement under RetailFX*

If your Credit Card deposit was made via Moneybookers, it will appear on your Credit Card statement under Moneybookers.

Yes, depositing money to your account is absolutely safe, private and secure.

All transactions are communicated using Secure Socket Layer technology, ensuring that your personal information is safe.

What are the deposit amount limitations?

A single deposit is subject to the following minimum and maximum amount requirements:

How do I deposit by Credit Card?

To deposit using a Credit Card, please click the “Credit Card” option, and fill in the deposit form.

Within minutes your account should be credited with funds. (If your request is not approved you will be notified via email).

How do I deposit by Wire Transfer?

To deposit via Wire Transfer, please click the “Wire Transfer” option, enter the deposit amount and click on “Continue” and then follow these steps:

  • Print out the Wire Transfer details appearing on the screen
  • Go to any bank and forward your Wire Transfer to eToro's bank. The bank will then provide you with a transaction reference number
  • Fill in the transaction reference number in Payment Details field

Within 5 days you should receive a bank confirmation, indicating that your trading account has been credited.

Please check your mail to see a notification.

How do I deposit by PayPal?

Important: you must have a PayPal account in order to use this option.

To deposit via PayPal, please click on the “PayPal” option, enter the amount you wish to deposit, click on “Continue” and then follow these steps:

  • You will be redirected to the PayPal website
  • Enter your email and password in order to login to your PayPal’s account
  • Review the transaction details
  • Once you verified the details, click “Pay”

Within minutes your trading account should be credited. If for any reason your request is not approved, you will be notified by email.

How do I deposit by Western Union?

To deposit via Western Union you must visit an authorized Western Union office.

To locate the nearest Western Union office please click on “Choose Western Union Agent”. In some countries it is possible to transfer the funds online.

Transfers should be made to:

Receiver: Steven Paul Kershaw
City: Limassol
Country: Cyprus EURO

You will now be issued with a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).

Contact our Customer Support department at: http://www.etoro.com/application/help/contact.aspx and provide them with the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Transaction amount in USD
  • Currency
  • City and country from which the money was sent
  • The MTCN (a 10 digit number)

In a short while your trading account should be credited with funds.

How do I deposit by MoneyGram?

To deposit via MoneyGram you must visit an authorized MoneyGram office.

To locate the nearest MoneyGram offices please click on “Find MoneyGram Agent”. In some countries it is possible to transfer the funds online.

Transfers should be made to:

You will be issued with a Transaction Reference Number.

  • Your full name

How do I deposit by Neteller / 1-Pay?

To deposit via Neteller, please click the “Neteller” option, and complete the form using your Secure ID and Neteller account number.

How do I deposit by MoneyBookers?

To deposit using Moneybookers, click the “Moneybookers” option, enter the amount you wish to deposit and your Moneybookers account email.

Note: if you do not have a Moneybookers account, click on the “click here” link that appears at the bottom of the screen.

You will be redirected to the Moneybookers website where you will be asked to enter your password in order to log in.

You can then choose to either use your Moneybookers account balance or a credit card.

Review the transaction and once you've made sure that all the details are correct, and click on “Pay”.

Within minutes your trading account should be credited with funds. If for any reason your request is not approved you will be notified via email.

How do I deposit by WebMoney?

To deposit using WebMoney, click the “WebMoney” option, enter the amount you wish to deposit and your WebMoney ID.

Note that if you don't have a WebMoney account yet, click on the “click here” link that appears at the bottom of the screen.

You will then be redirected to a WebMoney page, where you will need to follow these steps:

  • Review the transaction details
  • Approve the details by clicking the “Pay” button
  • Select an authentication method and authenticate yourself
  • Review the final transaction details
  • Select the WebMoney purse you wish to use (in case you have more than one)
  • Click “Confirm and Payment”

Within minutes your trading account should be credited with funds. If for any reason your request is not approved you will be notified via email.

How can I deposit by Sofortüberweisung?

Sofortüberweisung enables simple, real-time payments directly from your online bank. In order to use this service, you will need your customer number, BSB or BLZ (Branch Code), PIN (Personal Identification Number) and TAN (Transaction Authorization Number).

To deposit using Sofortüberweisung, from the Cashier select the “Sofortüberweisung” option and enter the amount you wish to deposit. You will then be redirected to a secure payments page.

You will then be required to enter your account name and number, your online password and a TAN to confirm the payment.

Once you confirm your transaction, you will be redirected back to the Cashier, where you will receive notification of the transaction result.

Within minutes your trading account should be credited with funds. If for any reason your request is not approved you will be notified via email.
